Biography:
Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley, better known as Poison Ivy, first appeared in Batman #181 (June 1966). A botanist with a PhD, Isley's transformation into Poison Ivy resulted from experiments where she was injected with plant toxins. This process granted her immunity to all poisons, the ability to secrete toxins from her skin, and a potent control over plant life.
Driven by a love for botany and a deep distrust of humanity, Poison Ivy often views plants as superior beings. She frequently clashes with Batman due to her eco-terrorism, aiming to protect plant life, often at the expense of human lives.
Her powers extend to manipulating pheromones, making her irresistibly attractive and able to control minds. While she is usually portrayed as a villain, some stories have portrayed her as an anti-hero, especially in situations where environmental protection is concerned.
